This book explains how slavery and genocide were institutionalized and systematized into a global system of domination, destruction, and death which colonized labor, land, and information. Dr. Clarke seeks to memorialize the Africans who died in service to European hegemony and colonialism. He gives us a historical context so we can create a proper memorial by building a strong, united Africa instead of striving to integrate into the death-machine of Western imperialism.
