The Ruins of Empires – an epic poem. A story that follows the “Knowledge Seeker” through the course of human history, via astral travel and multiple reincarnations, in an attempt to discover the causes of the rise and fall of empires. The artwork in this book is phenomenal! We have to say that the story reminded us somewhat of Ayi Kwei Armah’s The Healers (it is that good!). As one of our editor’s pseudonym is “The Dessaline Dream”, we most definitely appreciate the “Additional Artwork Inspired By The Text” section in this graphic novel.
