This is a documentary written and directed by Gloria Rolando from Havana, Cuba and narrated by Nehanda Abiodun (also an Afrikan political exile from the United States to Cuba). This is a C-101 certified production which provides a concise overview of Assata Shakur’s battle with the United States Government, her life in Cuba, and her struggle for African and all oppressed people. We strongly recommend you read Assata Shakur’s autobiography, Assata, and her aunt/attorney, Evelyn Williams’s, autobiography, Inadmissible Evidence, for a more detailed and comprehensive understanding of our sister Assata Shakur’s case.
